Champion boxer Shannan Taylor is slowly coming to terms with witnessing a horrific car accident at Unanderra last Friday night in which three people were killed and another was seriously injured.
Taylor was one of the first to arrive on the scene to help save one of the victims.
The Bulli Blaster said it was a traumatic experience and he had been physically ill since the triple fatality.
Taylor has been preparing for his next boxing bout at Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in Nowra on October 31.
He said it had been difficult to focus on his boxing after the fatal accident.
"I've been sparring and training with my trainer Brad Gallagher and working hard with (conditioner) Dale Fritz so it's probably been good to get my mind back on the job," he said.
Taylor's next fight is against hard-hitting Filipino Dondon Sultan, who has a knockout win over Sydney-based Russian and former world amateur champion Anton Solopov to his credit.
Taylor is confident of defeating Sultan on his way to a possible middleweight showdown with Anthony Mundine later this year or early next year.
Former world titleholder Danny Green is keen to promote a Taylor-Mundine bout in Perth.
"I'll do everything in my power to deliver the Australian public an early Christmas present by knocking Mundine out," Taylor said.
Former world champion Gairy St Claire also will feature on an impressive KO Leukaemia II card.
In the first KO Leukaemia boxing night at Shoalhaven Heads Sports and Social Club in July, Taylor won the International Boxing Federation Australasian super middleweight belt after winning the vacant World Boxing Association Pan Asian Boxing Association middleweight title on the Gold Coast in June.
As PABA champion, Taylor is now ranked in the WBA world top 10 middleweights.
