In-form Dragons second-rower Jarrod Saffy last night declared there was no animosity surrounding the biting claim levelled at him by Canberra star Todd Carney in their last NRL encounter.
Carney agrees it is in the past.
But while there may not be any bad blood lingering between the pair, they still dispute whether Saffy actually bit Carney's forearm during the Raiders' 21-14 win in round three at Canberra Stadium.
Saffy escaped an eight-week suspension when cleared of biting by the NRL judiciary after the video evidence was proven to be inconclusive.
"I've let it go, it was an unfortunate incident to have to go through," Saffy said.
"I'm just trying to get on with it and I'm sure Todd would too, we're just going to be focusing on trying to win, so it's not something I'm still worrying about."
But Saffy remains adamant the lack of evidence has vindicated him.
"I think it has, I was treated pretty well through the whole process," he said.
"They go through everything pretty thoroughly and what came out of it was it was clear that I didn't do it.
"It wasn't easy, I don't think anybody would want that (biting claim) against them."
Saffy is set to come into the Dragons' starting line-up to replace Chase Stanley, who has been struck down with a virus this week.
Carney will play a crucial role for the Raiders at WIN Stadium on Sunday, as the Dragons attempt to equal a club record eight game winning streak.
The Canberra halfback said he did not expect any fireworks in the showdown, but maintains he was bitten.
"Straight after it I said I didn't want him to get punished, but I also didn't want (biting) to be in the game," Carney said.
"It's all done and dusted, it was in the heat of battle and no-one likes to be bitten.
"But there's no hard feelings. If he was littler than me maybe, but he's a lot bigger than me so I'll be steering clear of him."
However, Carney said he was concerned he was made to look like an "idiot" over the biting claim.
"It was pretty pointless the drama I had to go through giving evidence over the video link," he said.
