Wollongong doubles specialist Ashley Fisher has put a tough start to the year behind him by winning the Indianapolis Open Doubles title.
Fisher teamed with American Tripp Phillips to defeat Scott Lipsky and David Martin 3-6 6-3 10-5 on Sunday.
It continues a good run of form for Fisher leading up to the US Open. The 32-year-old has now won six of his first seven matches on the US leg of the tour.
Fisher underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in January and had to sit out the first two months of the season.
His doubles ranking fell dramatically but has risen to 49th in the world since he reached the second round at Wimbledon.
The Indianapolis title is Fisher's fourth tour win since he turned pro in 1998.
